In a proactive move to ensure uninterrupted coal production during the upcoming rainy season, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal conducted a detailed inspection of the Kankani Mine in the Sijua Area. The visit focused on evaluating mining operations, safety arrangements, and preparedness measures ahead of the monsoon.
Joined by senior officials from Coal Bhawan Headquarters along with officers from the Sijua and PB Areas, the CMD reviewed key operational sites and assessed the progress of critical infrastructure projects. Special attention was given to measures aimed at preventing disruptions caused by heavy rainfall and maintaining production efficiency.
A major point of review was the development of operational infrastructure, including overburden management and site readiness. Agarwal emphasized the importance of safety, timely execution of projects, and operational discipline to achieve production targets without compromising worker welfare.
As a key coal-producing subsidiary under the Ministry of Coal, BCCL plays a vital role in India’s energy ecosystem.
