MGL Powers Up Green Energy Expansion

India’s clean energy transition received another boost as Mahanagar Gas Limited and Fourth Partner Energy Pvt. Ltd. joined forces to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy solutions across the commercial and industrial sectors.
The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly evaluate and develop renewable power generation and supply opportunities within MGL’s operational territories. The agreement was formalized in the presence of senior leadership, including MGL Managing Director Praveer Kumar Srivastava and Fourth Partner Energy Co-Founder & Executive Director Saif Dhorajiwala.
The partnership seeks to combine MGL’s extensive energy distribution network with Fourth Partner Energy’s expertise in renewable energy development. Together, the companies aim to offer integrated clean energy solutions that can help businesses reduce carbon emissions while improving energy efficiency and reliability.
As industries increasingly seek sustainable alternatives to conventional energy sources, the collaboration is expected to create new opportunities for renewable power adoption, advanced energy management systems, and low-carbon industrial operations.
The initiative aligns closely with India’s broader climate and sustainability goals, reinforcing the country’s commitment to building a cleaner and greener energy ecosystem. It also reflects the growing trend of traditional energy companies diversifying into renewable energy portfolios to meet evolving market demands.
Industry observers believe such partnerships will play a crucial role in supporting sustainable industrial growth, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and creating a more resilient energy infrastructure for the future.
With this strategic collaboration, MGL continues to expand beyond conventional city gas distribution, positioning itself as a key contributor to India’s clean energy journey while helping businesses transition toward a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future.
