SCOPE Builds Future CPSU Leaders

In a significant push towards leadership development in India’s public sector, the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), through its training arm SCOPE Academy of Public Sector Enterprises, successfully conducted a weeklong Executive Development Program for junior and mid-level executives from Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs).
The program, themed ‘The Career Journey to Personal Effectiveness and Leadership’, brought together around 50 executives from nearly 20 CPSUs across the country, creating a collaborative platform for learning, leadership enhancement, and professional growth.
The initiative was inaugurated by Atul Sobti, Director General, SCOPE, who highlighted the importance of developing a capable and future-ready managerial workforce for India’s public sector institutions.
Designed to strengthen managerial competencies, leadership skills, decision-making abilities, and personal effectiveness, the program focused on equipping participants with the tools needed to navigate evolving workplace challenges and lead with confidence.
SCOPE Academy’s leadership initiative aligns with the broader national vision of building a skilled, efficient, and high-performing public sector workforce, capable of contributing meaningfully to India’s economic growth and governance goals.
By investing in leadership grooming at the junior and mid-management levels, SCOPE continues to play a key role in shaping the next generation of public sector leaders, helping CPSUs build a stronger talent pipeline for the future.
The program reinforces SCOPE’s commitment to capacity building, executive excellence, and leadership transformation, ensuring that India’s public enterprises remain agile, competent, and future-focused in a rapidly changing economic landscape.
